Hi Reader!
We're officially moving out of Virgo season and into Libra season this week ⚖️ So, how was Virgo season for you? What came up? How did it feel?
For me, Virgo season has been all about focusing on my physical body. I committed to giving up alcohol (until two nights ago when I consciously broke that streak for a cozy wine night in 🍷 with a friend—think oracle cards, deep chats, and a homemade meal; total heart medicine). Being intentional with alcohol has been a big part of my journey...but that's a story for another time.
And, a few weeks ago after wrestling with it for nearly 6 months, I finally decided to give up coffee, too. A visit to a holistic health practitioner confirmed what I suspected: I'm in adrenal fatigue, stuck in fight-or-flight. My boyfriend jokes that I’ve been tired since he met me two and a half years ago, and honestly, he’s not wrong. But lately my fatigue has hit next level. Outside of dancing and pilates, I've pretty much been couch-bound.
So, after an intense day of too much coffee and feeling total burnout a few weeks back, I decided: enough. I’m done pushing my body (and brain) to keep up. I've leaned into resting, and mentally, I've been learning to release all of the internal pressures that I place on myself, specifically around my business, but also in my personal life. Virgo season for me has been all about healing and just being. Not something that comes easy to me.
My point here? Your body is your ultimate guide (so Virgo). Fighting it only makes things harder.
Navigating fatigue, brain fog, and total exhaustion has meant no energy for my podcast. My mind wants to dive in, but my body’s hitting the brakes, so I’m learning to trust it. Rest and solitude have been my new priorities.
At the start of Virgo season, I sensed my body needed attention, but finding out I’m in adrenal fatigue took that feeling up a notch. Interesting, since Virgo is all about the body—it’s an earth sign, after all. Check your True Sky chart for Virgo placements; even if it’s not your sun sign, this energy could still be major for you!
The symbol for Virgo is the Virgin, but not the “never had sex” type—it’s about being fully devoted to the self. When I think of true Virgos I know, they have this deep reverence for themselves, along with clarity about what’s right for them (hence the stellar boundaries). They’re discerning, intellectual, and can sniff out BS from miles away. So, if you're unsure about something, get a Virgo on it. And yes, they make fantastic lovers; patient and emotionally level-headed (especially if their Venus or moon is in Virgo 😉).
In my downtime, I’ve been tuning into that Virgo discernment, asking: Is this really for me? I didn't expect my body to become such a focus, but I'm glad it did. It's allowed space for refinement in my life: of my hobbies, my time, what I consume, what I eat, etc. I’m in a bit of a limbo in my life right now, eager to leave fight-or-flight behind, but learning to embrace this process of just being.
And so, as Virgo season wraps up, what has your body been telling you? Did you cultivate a deeper devotion to yourself?
As we shift in to Libra season, our focus turns to our relationships. I love me some love! 💕
More to come on this, so stay tuned✨
xo,
Jess
